‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Canceled

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” has been canceled

TLC has axed the show after a report from TMZ claimed that Mama June (real name June Shannon) was dating Mark McDaniel, a convicted sex offender.

“TLC has cancelled the series ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being,” the network said in a statement on Friday.

June denied that she was currently dating McDaniel and said she has not seen McDaniel in a decade.

“There will be no more production of the show. The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue,” June said in a video posted on Facebook.

“I would not ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. It is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years,” she continued in the video.

June thanked her fans for their support in the video and then also gave an update on her relationship with Sugar Bear (daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s dad).

“Me and Sugar really have broken up, but we are friends and we have stayed civil. We’re better off friends than we were a couple. Things happen for a reason in life, you live and learn,” she said in the video.

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” aired its fourth season in August.
