Hermione Leaving Harry Potter?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (October 17, 2006) — Emma Watson is making noises like she doesn’t want to stick around for the final two “Harry Potter” films.

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) hopes it’s just talk and she’ll play Hermione in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and whatever the seventh one is called — just like in the previous five movies.

Grint says if Watson is serious about moving on “it would be really weird” without her. He says he “can’t really imagine it” but “we’ll have to sit and wait and see.” Grint says he hopes “she’ll stick it out” but, ultimately “it’s her choice.”

Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are all in the next movie, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.” It’s expected in theaters July 17th.
