‘Heroes’ On Picket Line; Plus, Jack Black & Dane Cook Benefit Concerts

As the Hollywood writer’s strike continues into its second month, those involved in the strike are getting creative with their tactics and support.

Access has learned “Heroes” creator Tim Kring, along with show stars, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar, Jack Coleman, and Christine Rose, will walk the picket lines on Wednesday in front of Universal Studios. They are encouraging fans to join the picket by handing out comic books and T-shirts.

On Friday, a benefit concert featuring Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass), Patton Oswalt, and Sarah Silverman, will be held at UCLA.

The same night across town in West Hollywood, Dane Cook is scheduled to perform a benefit comedy show at the Laugh Factory.

Both shows will donate profits to support workers affected by the writer’s strike.
