Hilary Duff On Her ‘Amazing, Exciting & Strange’ Married Life

Hilary Duff loves her new married life to hockey player Mike Comrie.

“It’s so amazing, exciting and strange at the same time,” Hilary recently told Access Hollywood.com’s Laura Saltman on the set of NBC’s “Community,” when asked about the latest chapter in her life.

“There’s still not words for it. It’s just different,” the 23-year-old, who walked down the aisle in August, continued.

The actress / singer said, who has a guest role on the comedy as a mean girl, said she is still adjusting to being away from her husband, who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“Now he’s gone and I’m like, ‘No, you left me too soon! What’s happening?’ That kind of sucks, ” she explained. “But, we’re used to that long distance thing and we’re going to figure it out. It means a lot of traveling for me this year, but that’s OK.”

The distance and their busy careers will also keep the couple form expanding their family – at least for now.

“Obviously we’re really excited to have kids in the future, but not anytime soon,” she explained. “I still want to work and still feel really driven.”

Hilary is slated to appear on NBC’s “Community” in November.
