Halle Berry To Receive Hollywood Leadership Award

Halle Berry has something else in common with fellow Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Jodie Foster: The Sherry Lansing Leadership Award.

The Hollywood Reporter says Berry will receive the honor next month at the paper’s 18th annual Power 100: Women in Entertainment breakfast.

“I had about 19 hours of flying under my belt,” she told Access Hollywood at the film’s premiere in New York City on Tuesday, explaining just one thing stood in her way. “You have to fly solo, obviously, to get your pilot’s license and the insurance policy on the movie was never going to allow me do that.”

‘Slumdog,’ Winslet & ‘30 Rock’ Win Big At Golden Globes

“Slumdog Millionaire” lived up to its underdog theme at Sunday’s Golden Globes, sweeping all four of its categories, including best drama and director for Danny Boyle.
