“After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. I am truly heartbroken of Farrah’s passing. She was an inspiration to all women; an icon in her own right. She brought so much joy to millions and there are no words how much she will be missed.

“There are no words to express the deep sense of loss that I feel. For thirty years Farrah was much more than a friend, she was my sister, and although I will miss her terribly I know in my heart that she will always be there as that angel on the shoulder of everyone who loved her.”

-– Alana Stewart

“Farrah was and is the true definition of an ‘icon.’ She was of her time but transcended her time. As unique as her name, Farrah was a completely original combination of poster girl, serious actress, tabloid celebrity, role model, talk show personality and social advocate: her career spanned more than four decades and personified the tremendous power and influence of entertainment on our culture. Not many stars can be credited with inspiring both a hair style and changes in legislation (surrounding domestic violence and more recently patient privacy). And she did it without posturing or campaigning but by simply choosing her own path and making her own rules. Farrah remained relevant to the very end. She will be remembered as the modern Mona Lisa and so much more.

“I will remember her as my friend.”

Craig Nevius, producer of “Farrah’s Story”

“Farrah had an outstanding talent, better than most feature-film actresses that I’ve seen. She was great to work with and will be missed.”

— Robert Duvall, Farrah’s “The Apostle” director and co-star

— Miley Cyrus

“Though I did not know her well, Farrah left an indelible mark on me and the public during her one year reign on ‘Charlie’s Angels.’ She put up a gallant fight against her unforgiving disease and I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends.”

— John Forsythe, “Charlie’s Angels” co-star

“R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett. You will be missed. And if you see Mr. Spelling in your new journey, tell him I miss him.”

— Alyssa Milano

“Farrah was more than a beautiful star. She shared the most intimate part of living with the world even as she approached the end of her own life.

Graceful in life and graceful as she neared the end, I found working with her to be one of the nicest experiences I’ve ever had in film.

God bless Ryan and their son and other members of the family.”
–Chevy Chase

“She was the strongest woman I ever met who for 3 years fought this battle to the end. She never felt sorry for herself and was the sweetest and kindest lady.  I will miss her.”

–George Hamilton

“A golden child has been taken from this world to a better place. My life was truly blessed when Farrah and I found each other. She will remain alive in the hearts of all who loved her. Her generosity of spirit and beauty never dies. She is out of pain now and in God’s arms. I am sad to lose my dear friend, her smile will remain in my heart forever.”

–Jose Eber, hairsylist, who worked with Farrah for over 30 years

“As a little girl, I wanted to be Farrah. Several years ago I worked with her and I wanted to protect Farrah because she seemed to me like a wounded bird. Over the past few years, Farrah has shown herself to be a lioness, with beauty, strength and courage that I will admire always. My family sends our love and sympathy to Ryan, Redmond and Farrah’s beloved father.”

–Melissa Gilbert

“Farrah Fawcett is a legend. It just seems impossible to me that she is gone. I just saw her smiling face on TV last night and today found out that she is no longer with us. She fought so long and hard. I admire her strength and her willing spirit. What a gift she gave to us all. She will be deeply missed.”
