Homeland Season 3 Guest Stars Revealed: Carrie Mathison Is Getting An Attorney

Showtime has revealed the list of guest stars for Season 3 of “Homeland,” and the character descriptions offer some hints at the drama ahead.

In Season 3, Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison is going to be under scrutiny and needs a CIA appointed attorney. Showtime revealed Amy Morton, from “Boss” will play Carrie’s attorney, Erin Kimball.

Previously, Showtime announced that “Carrie and Saul” were set to begin picking “up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives,” in Season 3. They were also expected to get “swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts.”

Among the new power players on the government and intelligence side are Senator Andrew Lockhart, described as a “powerful, authoritative and commanding Committee Chairman,” played by “Prison Break’s” Tracy Letts.

The President’s National Security Advisor, Admiral Jim Pennington, will be played by Lawrence Clayton (“Dreamgirls”).

Majority Counsel David Portillo, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, is being played by Pedro Pascal.

Nazanin Boniadi (“How I Met Your Mother”) will play a young analyst named Fara.

It appears Sgt. Brody’s daughter, Dana, is getting a psychiatrist — Dr. Richards — played by “Louie’s” Gary Wilmes. Dana is also getting a new friend — Leo — who like many of her friends in seasons before, has a troubled past. “The Last Keepers” actor Sam Underwood, will play the character.

Also, fans will be meeting Jessica’s mom — Grandma Lois, played by Joanna Merlin (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”).

“Homeland” returns for Season 3 on Showtime, on September 28 at 9 PM ET/PT.
