‘Horrible Bosses’ Star Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis Expecting First Child

It’s going to be a happy holiday for “Horrible Bosses” star Charlie Day and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, in December — that’s when the couple are expecting their first child.

The couple, who starred in the FX hit, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” together for five years, are expecting their first child, according to Us Weekly.

“I’m excited,” Charlie told the mag at the “Cowboys & Aliens” premiere at the 2011 Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif., on Saturday. “Who wouldn’t be excited about being a daddy?

“Well, maybe a 16-year-old in high school wouldn’t be excited,” Charlie, who recently starred alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis in “Horrible Bosses,” continued. “But a 35-year-old man like me is looking forward to something bigger than himself.”

In addition to her work on “… Philadelphia,” Mary, 32, recently starred in the hilarious yet short-lived NBC comedy, “Perfect Couples.”

Charlie is expected to take part in a panel for “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” at Comic-Con on Sunday, promoting the show’s upcoming seventh season, alongside Danny De Vito and Rob McElhenney.

The couple married in March 2006.
