‘House’ Stars Launch Benefit T-Shirt

LOS ANGELES (May 7, 2007) — The stars and crew of “House” have launched a t-shirt aimed at benefiting a mental health organization.

The new shirt, which features famous “House-ism” “Everybody Lies,” went on sale late last month at www.HouseCharityTees.com. Proceeds from the grey, American Apparel shirt go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

“We’ve wanted to do something with the sort of attention we’ve been receiving as a show,” show star Hugh Laurie told Access Hollywood. “It was Dr. David Foster who came up with the suggestion. It just seemed to fit. It was a sort of semi-neglected area in some ways that you know people tend not to think so much about this terrible blight.”

Omar Epps who plays House’s associate Dr. Eric Foreman was thrilled to get behind the cause.

“It’s awesome,” he said of the T-shirt campaign. “[It] shines some light on place that deserves it. NAMI’s a great organization and mental illness is something that you know should be dealt with.”
