Hugh Jackman In Talks For X-Men: Days Of Future Past

The familiar mutant faces continue to line up for Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days Of Future Past.”

According to reports, Hugh Jackman is in talks to reprise his beloved Wolverine role in the upcoming sequel to “X-Men: First Class.”

The actor briefly appeared in “First Class,” telling off Professor X and Magneto (played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) in a scene where they are attempting to recruit mutants for their cause.

The casting news comes on the heels of the Singer’s announcement earlier this week that Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen will reprise their roles as the older versions of Professor X and Magneto, respectively.

If Hugh’s deal is worked out, this will be the seventh time the actor has played the mutant on the big screen, including the upcoming “The Wolverine,” a sequel to his 2009 spin-off movie, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

“X-Men: Days Of Future Past” is slated to hit theaters in summer 2014.
