Hulk Hogan On Sex Tape Leak: It’s ‘Devastated Me’

Hulk Hogan responded to his leaked sex tape on Tuesday, telling “Today’s” Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb that it has crushed him.

“It’s just something that has devastated me, and I’ve never been through anything on this level,” he told the fourth-hour “Today” hosts about the filmed intimate moment, a clip of which was recently posted on the Gawker website.

During an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, also on Tuesday, Hogan confirmed the woman in the video is Heather Clem, the now ex-wife of his best friend, Todd Alan Clem, aka radio host Bubba the Love Sponge.

Hogan said he had Bubba’s permission to have sex with Bubba’s then-wife, and the incident occurred six years ago while he was still married to Linda Hogan.

Hogan, who married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, said he was not aware a camera was in the room when he slept with Clem.

“First off, I had no idea there was a camera in the room,” he said on “Today.” “It was at a very, very low point. I’m not making excuses, I’m accountable. I was the guy, I was there. I made the choice. It was at a really low point in my life when I was in a previous marriage when things [had] bottomed out completely and I was with some friends, and I made a wrong choice and now all of a sudden it surfaces over six years later, and it’s just appalling. It’s totally flipped my new life and my new role upside [down].”

Hogan said his children – Nick and Brooke Hogan – are fine, but the situation has hurt his current wife.

“They’re fine. They know me, they understand, they are part of that past life, and that situation I was in. They know what I was going through and what I was going through on a daily basis,” Hogan said. “My new wife, Jennifer, is rattled to say the least.”

Currently, Hogan said he is working “to find out who did this to me and why, and what’s the motivation.”

Hogan opened up more about his motivations for sleeping with Bubba’s wife, and suggested to Stern part of his motivation was that he was being verbally and emotionally abused by his own then-wife, Linda Hogan.

Through her attorney, Linda denied her ex-husband’s implications in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday.

“Simply shameful,” her attorney said in a statement to Access. “Hulk Hogan needs to take responsibility for his fetishes instead of trying to deflect his immorality with false allegations that Linda verbally and emotionally abused him. Linda Hogan never abused Hulk Hogan – verbally, mentally or otherwise.”
