Hunger Games: Jena Malone Tapped As Tribute For Catching Fire?

Another tribute has been chosen for the arena, according to a new report.

Jena Malone has been offered the role of Johanna Mason in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 27-year-old actress, who starred alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish in 2011’s “Sucker Punch,” is in early negotiations for the coveted role, THR reports.

If Jena signs on to play the axe wielder from District 7, she will appear in “Catching Fire,” as well as the two-part screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ “Mockingjay.”

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” begins shooting in the fall and is slated for theatrical release on November 22, 2013.
