Ian Ziering Weighs In On Tori Spelling’s ‘True Tori’

Tori Spelling and Dean McDernott’s “True Tori” might be captivating Lifetime audiences with its no holds barred, all access approach to their relationship rollercoaster, but her former “90210” co-star Ian Ziering is left wondering why the show is even on the air.

“I’ve seen clips… it’s not appointment television for me. It’s tough to watch. It saddens me to see Tori going through all this pain, that there are kids involved,” Ian told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live.

“I have a tremendous amount of love for Tori and, it’s just sad. I’m sad,” he said of the moments he’s seen from the Lifetime series.

“I don’t know what to make of it It’s a train wreck, it’s a train wreck! And I can’t explain it, because I don’t know the details. I’m just as a witness and a bystander, like we all are,” he continued. “It’s like, why is this even happening? Why is this happening on television?”

Despite his reservations about the series, Ian explained that he has faith in Tori.

“It just seems as there is nothing sacred,” he said. “I don’t know. But, I do know that Tori is a smart girl… she’s a smart girl. She knows what she is doing.”

Adding, “It’s a train wreck and you have to watch it! It makes great television… but I question the motives. Why? Why are you doing this?”

“True Tori” airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Lifetime.
