‘iCarly’s’ Miranda Cosgrove: Michelle Obama ‘Has Good Comic Timing’

First Lady Michelle Obama just appeared on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” and series star Miranda Cosgrove had great praise for her one time co-star.

“She’s really funny in real life, so she has good comic timing,” Miranda told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live.

Miranda said despite the First Lady’s time being limited, they knocked out the episode with ease.

“She was probably there for two hours and we had a lot of stuff to film so we had to go kind of fast, but it was just fun getting to see her dance and stuff. She said that part was her favorite,” Miranda said.

Having the President’s wife on set did come with added security concerns.

“There were so many Secret Service people and they come a couple of weeks before just to check out the area and they meet everybody and you have to give them your information and stuff,” Miranda explained. “And then when she came to the set, she’s so laid back and nice and she loved dancing and just talking about fashion. She was really cool. It was her first time acting too.”
Miranda is currently working on her own new adventure – college life.

“I got into NYU and USC and I’ve been trying to figure out which one to go to because I deferred for a year since I’m doing my show, so now it’s really getting down to the point where I have to make the decision,” she said.

And there’s been a little pressure for the actress to stay local from her family

“My dad loves USC because he went there and my parents don’t really want me to go to New York, but I love New York,” she said.

“iCarly” airs Saturday nights at 8/7c on Nickelodeon.
