NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 8, 2007) — Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” took home single of the year at Wednesday night’s Country Music Association Awards, but could the singer be ready to turn her attention to acting?
The former “American Idol” champ didn’t sound like she’d mind testing out her acting chops when Access Hollywood caught up with her backstage after her CMA win.
“I don’t know — if something came up and it sounded like a good thing [and it] sounded like fun, [then] I would be in,” she told Access.
Carrie said she is currently receiving scripts, but that “nothing is really worked out.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the country star has been linked romantically to Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald on “Gossip Girl.”
“He’s really cute,” Underwood told People recently. “I’ve met him and he seems like a really nice guy. He’s got cool hair, he’s a nice height and he just has beautiful eyes.”
Carrie told Access Wednesday night that she has not been asked to appear on “Gossip Girl.”
Underwood was also linked romantically to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. They reportedly parted ways in July.
