Isaac Hayes was laid to rest over the weekend and Access Hollywood has new details about the service, which brought out a host of stars and even royalty.

Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Kelly Preston, Wesley Snipes, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Maurice White (of Earth, Wind and Fire), “Shaft” star Richard Roundtree, along with Hayes’ family (his wife, children and grandchildren) and the Mayors of both Memphis and Shelby County and members of his band were among the 500 invited guests to the late star’s funeral.

Friends and family plan to pay tribute to soul singer Isaac Hayes at a memorial service filled with speeches, musical performances, photos and video clips.

Sheriff’s Department: Isaac Hayes Likely Died Of Stroke

Isaac Hayes apparently died of a stroke,
officials with the sheriff’s department said Tuesday.

The deep-voiced soul singer died Sunday after he was found unconscious at his Memphis residence. No autopsy was performed, but paperwork filed by Hayes’ family physician, Dr. David Kraus, lists
the cause of death as a stroke, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Shular said Tuesday.

Musician and actor Isaac Hayes died on Sunday at the age of 65.

The loss of the musical pioneer was felt far and wide by Hayes’ friends and colleagues including Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Lisa Marie Presley, the Reverend Al Sharpton and Gloria Gaynor, who quickly released statements over his death.

Hayes was 65.

Shelby County Sheriff spokesperson, Steve Shular, confirmed to Access the department received a 911 call around 1 PM local time from Hayes’ home in the Eastern part of Shelby county, a few miles from Memphis.
