It’s A Girl For Hugh Grant, Actor Becomes A Father At 51

Hugh Grant has a new real life role he’s taking on — that of a father.

On Tuesday, a rep for the British actor confirmed reports he is the dad to a baby girl.

“I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl,” Hugh’s rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

It is not known who the mother of the actor’s new baby is.

“He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms,” the rep’s statement concluded.

This is the first child for Hugh, 51.

Interestingly, the actor’s next feature film is a children’s movie – “The Pirates! Band of Misfits,” an animated feature due out March 30, 2012.
