‘iZombie’: Clive’s In The Hot Seat (Exclusive Sneak Peek!)

Detective Clive Babineaux is going to need a lot of help from his undead friend on “iZombie.”

The veteran officer is set to become the prime suspect in a murder investigation, and AccessHollywood.com has your exclusive sneak peek at a scene from Tuesday’s episode.

In the clip, Clive shares with Liv and Ravi his fear that he’s about to be suspended. He also shares a lot more in what’s set to be a very Clive-centric episode, as he opens up about a past romance with the murder victim (who happened to be a “badge bunny,” as he puts it).

“It felt like a love letter to Clive — that’s what Rahul [Kohli, who plays Ravi] kept calling it,” Malcolm Goodwin told reporters on a visit to the set in October on the episode.

“You guys will definitely be surprised,” Rose McIver [Liv Moore] added.

Despite solving cases with her and experiencing her brain-eating-induced personality shifts first hand, Clive remains the one major character on the show out of the loop about Liv’s secret. He still thinks she’s got psychic abilities. Clive not knowing doesn’t bother any of the actors.

“I just think he’s the most patient — and opportunistic guy, because it’s also helping him do his job. And kind of regardless of how she does it, she seems to get these pretty good clues, so I think he’s definitely tolerant,” Rose said. “But for me, I think, definitely Liv is grateful that [there is] somebody who she doesn’t have to battle with every time she takes these brains. These people normally would be judging her, but he’s really accepting.”

“I always say he has tunnel vision,” Malcolm added. “I’m sure he has a theory behind [how she does what she does]. I mean, I think the first season he goes, ‘Don’t be so method.’ That was his first time kind of commenting on the multiple personality changes, but as long as these crimes are being solved, these murders are being brought to justice, that’s all he cares about.”
