Jackson Rathbone ‘Excited’ To Become A Father: It’s The ‘Greatest Thing’ That’s Ever Happened To Me

Jackson Rathbone is about to take on the most import role of his life – that of a father.

“I’m going to be a dad!” the actor told Access Hollywood at the premiere of the new Amanda Seyfried thriller, “Gone,” in Los Angeles on Tuesday. “It’s kind of the greatest, most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me in my life, so I’m very excited.”

The “Twilight” star, 27, and his girlfriend, Sheila Hafsadi, 24, are extremely excited about the impending arrival of their little one, but Jackson stopped short of revealing the baby’s gender.

“I don’t want to go into all that,” he said, when asked if the baby is a boy or girl. “But I’m really excited.”

The actor said he’s turning to his own parents for tips on fatherhood.

“I’ve got amazing parents to learn from,” he told Access with a smile. “I’ve been on the phone with them every day since [we got the pregnancy news].”

“Gone” hits theaters on Friday.
