James Van Der Beek announced the birth of his first son via Twitter on Tuesday.
“Had my first son this morning… well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain,” James Tweeted shortly before 3 PM PT on Tuesday, referencing his wife, Kimberly Brook.
“If you could bottle up and distribute this feeling, I swear there’d be no more war. #fatherhood” he added.
James, the upcoming co-star of ABC’s “The B—- In Apt. 23,” also confirmed his daughter’s birth in September 2010 on Twitter, writing, “Had the blessing of becoming a father over the weekend… Couldn’t come close to describing this bliss even if I had 140 million characters.”
“I apologize in advance for any obnoxiously precious new-dad tweets that may follow. I’m under her spell,” he continued in another Tweet.
James and Kimberly married in August 2010.
