Jane Lynch Offers Her & Sue Sylvester’s Advice For Prince William & Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate Middleton are headed down the aisle in just a month and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are offering up advice for the happy couple.

“Glee” star Jane Lynch shared her guidance for the Prince and his bride-to-be on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live.

“So Yahoo? Tell us about your, what are you doing with Yahoo?,” guest co-host Lisa Rinna asked.

“Lara, my wife and I, will be doing a message to the Royal Couple,” Jane said, referring to Yahoo’s Royal Wedding Guestbook. “We were really thrilled that they asked us and we take that responsibility seriously. We know a lot of people are looking to us, especially in areas of the world where gay marriage isn’t exactly the normal thing.”

Jane told Lisa and Kit Hoover that she hopes the couple focuses plenty of attention on their private life together.

“Your main love relationship needs to be your safe harbor. And they’re going to be doing a lot of things outside, and they have a lot of duties other than the duties to their marriage,” she continued. “And they have to really keep that primary, that has to be their focus. What happens at home is important and then they’ll have that safe harbor.

“But what I love about them is that they’re not going to have the help. They’re not going to have the butlers and the maids that are offered to them,” Jane told Kit and Lisa. “They’re going to keep it simple and they have to keep it simple, if they’re at all concerned about their relationship and it sounds they are.”

Kit asked Jane what her advice would be for Kate’s in-laws.

“You just have to respect, especially with the Royal duties, you have to respect the history and the customs. [Kate] knows what she’s getting into. She’s been with him for what, about eight years? So, she knows the score,” Jane said, referring to Kate joining the Royal family.

The actress said she foresees a long marriage for the happy couple.

“She’s in it for the long haul, she knows what the given circumstances are,” the Emmy winner said. “They’re young still, they’re going to grow, change, evolve, but I think they know what they’re getting into.”

And what advice might Jane’s “Glee” counterpart, Sue Sylvester, give the British couple?

”‘Be sure you dominate your partner, let them know who’s boss!’ That’s probably what she’d say,” Jane added.
