Jane Lynch Talks Gwyneth Paltrow On ‘Glee’: The Audience Will Be ‘So Impressed With Her’

Gwnyeth Paltrow is set to guest star on FOX’s hit comedy, “Glee,” and series star Jane Lynch had nothing but good things to say about working with the Academy Award-winning actress

“Gwyneth Paltrow proves that she’s the real deal [in her episode],” Jane told Access, at the 18th Annual BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards on Thursday. “She sings beautifully, she dances beautifully — she’s an amazing dancer!”

Gwyneth will play a McKinley High substitute teacher who fill ins in for – and reportedly falls for – Will Schuester (played by Matthew Morrison), and will perform a toned-down version of Cee-Lo Green’s hit song “F—k You.”

“We always knew [Gywneth] could act, we always knew she was gorgeous. She’s the real deal and she gets to show off her goods,” Jane raved to Access. “She marches out her cookies for all of us to see in this show. I watched a great deal of what she shot, and I also shot some things with her.

“Everybody’s gonna be just so impressed with her,” Jane added. “I had scenes with her –we laughed a lot. She’s got great sense of humor.”

In addition to her appearance on “Glee,” Gwyneth is also set to make her live singing debut on the 44th annual Country Music Awards later this month. She also sings in her upcoming film “Country Strong,” co-starring Tim McGraw, Leighton Meester and “Tron: Legacy’s” Garret Hedlund.

Jane also shared her thoughts on the racy GQ photo shoot that caused a mild uproar last month (showing “Glee” stars Lea Michele and Dianna Agron in provocative poses, with Cory Monteith dressed more conservatively).

“I thought [the photos] were beautiful,” Jane told Access. “That photographer is wonderful — I’ve always loved his stuff.”

The Emmy Award-winning comedienne revealed that she was slightly disappointed in the shoot for one reason: she wasn’t invited to participate.

“I don’t why they didn’t invite me to put a sucker in my mouth and wear white briefs,” Jane said, before laughing, “Oh wait, now I know why!”

Catch Gwyneth on “Glee” when the episode airs on November 16 at 8 PM on FOX.
