Jane Seymour Apologizes For Comments Regarding Arnold Schwarzenegger & ‘Love Children’

Jane Seymour has backtracked off her recent comments to CNN that scandal-plagued Arnold Schwarzenegger has “two more [out of wedlock kids].”

“I am so beyond sorry and appalled that I found myself even talking on the subject at all,” Jane said, shaking her head, as she addressed her comments during an appearance on Friday’s “The View.”

Jane went on to insist that she had no information about alleged additional children.

“I do not know anything about any love children. Anything that I said was stupidly listening to some stuff in the media that day. Everyone was talking, I don’t even know where I heard it and I don’t know anything about anything,” Jane continued.

The actress, best known for her role in “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” said she feels bad about her comments and she hopes Maria Shriver and her four children with Arnold will accept her apology.

“The way it got all put together is beyond embarrassing and I just feel so, so badly for the Maria and the children because I’ve been through similar kind of stuff,” Jane said. “I just, hope that they’ll accept my apology and realize that I do not want [to] in any way exacerbate the pain that that family’s going through.”

Jane, who has been married four times, said she didn’t try to make the comments that took over the headlines.

“You have to understand, I didn’t go out my to have this conversation, I was, it was the premiere of my movie, which had a very similar theme and that’s why they asked me about it,” Jane said, referring to her film “Love, Wedding, Marriage,” co-starring James Brolin, Mandy Moore, Kellan Lutz and “Gossip Girl’s” Jessica Szohr.

“Love, Wedding, Marriage” opens in theaters June 3.
