Janet Jackson’s ‘Discipline’ Tops Album Charts

Janet Jackson has debuted at the top of the album chart with her new one, “Discipline.”

Janet’s first chart-topping album in seven years bested Erykah Badu, who netted the number two slot with her new entry, “New Amerykah: Part One (4th World War).” It also beat out stiff competition from last week’s, number one — Jack Johnson’s “Sleep Through The Static.”

Webbie’s “Savage Life 2” was another new entry on the chart, grabbing the fourth slot.

Alicia Keys held on to a top ten slot with “As I Am,” though she fell three places to number five.

Miley Cyrus rose to number six with the “Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus” record.

Over on the downloaded singles chart, Janet came in seventh with her single, “Feedback,” but the top spot belonged to Usher. His cut, “Love In This Club,” featuring Young Jeezy dethroned tough competition from Flo Rida feat. T-Pain on “Low.”

“Low” fell from the number one slot to number two, while Sara Bareilles’ “Love Song took third.
