Janet Jackson’s Secret ‘Thriller’ Performance Revealed

It’s been 25 years since “Thriller” and to commemorate its release, Michael Jackson just released a 25th anniversary edition. Now, if only sister Janet had a copy.

Fear not! Access Hollywood to the rescue!

We were the first folks to give Janet the new version.

“I love this,” she said when Access’ Shaun Robinson presented her with the CD.

Something most people don’t know — a young Janet is featured on one of the tracks.

It wasn’t well publicized 25 years ago, but Janet sang backup on Michael’s single, “Pretty Young Thing.”

“That ‘Nah, nah, nah?’ That’s me,” she enthused. “I was only like 16-years-old. I never got my platinum plaque for that either.”

“Did Michael ask for you to perform on that?” Shaun asked.

“Yeah!” Janet replied. “There were quite a few girls they had called and we were all in the vocal booth together and they asked everyone to leave except for me. And I stayed and they asked me to sing it, so I sang it!”

Janet has her own new studio project, a dance album called “Discipline,” coming out February 26. Her longtime beau, Jermaine Dupri, produced the effort for her new label, Island Def Jam.

“While in the studio is he your boyfriend, Jermaine, or is he the producer, Jermaine?” Shaun asked.

“We’re all over the place,” Janet laughed.
