Jason Priestley: My Daughter Can Be Hannah Montana For Halloween, But Not Miley Cyrus

Jason Priestley’s children, daughter Ava and son Dashiell, already have their Halloween costumes picked out and luckily their list doesn’t include Miley Cyrus.

The “Call Me Fitz” star stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Monday, where he weighed in on Miley Cyrus and explained how he would handle his 6-year-old daughter wanting to dress up like the headline-making 20-year-old.

“I’d be a little torn on that,” he told Kit Hoover and Shaun Robinson when asked if he’d let Ava sport a Miley costume.

“Like if she wanted to go as Hannah Montana, I’d say, ‘Sure,’” he explained. “But to go as Miley Cyrus that would be indicative of… Umm yeah, I’d have a problem with that.”

Luckily, the actor’s daughter is planning on going as a “zombie bunny” for the spooky holiday.

Jason, who rocketed to fame at 21, explained that he understands how many young stars use their image and sexuality to get attention, but warned that looking back on those choices can be difficult.

“When you’re 20, 21 years old you think you’ve got it all figured out. You think you’re an adult,” he said, referring to Miley. “She’s pushing the envelope a little bit in order to get column inches [in magazines] and that’s exactly what she’s getting.”

“Call Me Fitz” Season 4 premieres on DirecTV on October 9 at 10 PM.
