The British public has been drinking tea for over 200 years, and on Wednesday, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle joined in the UK’s national obsession, enjoying the drink with The Queen.

The President and his wife paid a visit to Britain’s sitting monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at Buckingham Palace for tea.

Fashion designer Jason Wu was thrust to the forefront of the fashion world when First Lady Michelle Obama wore his designs during the 2009 Presidential Inauguration – along with sporting another Wu design on the her new Vogue cover.

Access Hollywood caught up with the the 26-year-old Taiwanese-born fashion designer --and our newest Rising Star — backstage at his Fall 2009 show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, where the young designer told Access that Michelle Obama’s support has dramatically changed his career.

Michelle Obama To Grace Vogue Cover

It’s official: Michelle Obama is the first lady of American fashion, appearing on the cover of the March issue of Vogue.

Every first lady since Lou Hoover — save Bess Truman — has been featured in the high-fashion magazine, but Mrs. Obama is only the second to grace the cover. She appears wearing a magenta silk sheath dress by Jason Wu, who also designed her inaugural gown.

Aretha Franklin’s Inauguation Hat May Head For Smithsonian

The Smithsonian Museum wants Aretha Franklin’s Inauguration Day hat. The Queen of Soul’s big-bowed headgear has been a hot property since the legendary singer belted “My Country Tis Of Thee” at Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration on January 20, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that the hat’s designer, Luke Song, has been overwhelmed with demand for the $179 item. (Aretha’s custom-made version cost over $500.)

But while the Smithsonian wants the original, Aretha’s not sure if she wants to give it up.
