Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox Reuniting On ‘Cougar Town’

Jennifer Aniston will reunite with “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox on the Season 2 premiere of “Cougar Town,” ABC announced on Monday.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, Jen will play someone who — quite literally — gets inside Courteney’s character’s head.

“She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie,” “Cougar Town” Executive Producer Bill Lawrence told EW, referring to Courteney’s character, Jules. “Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

Jen’s “Cougar Town” appearance marks the second time the former “Friends” stars have reunited on the small screen. In 2007, Jen appeared on Cox’s FX dramedy “Dirt,” where they shared a much-hyped kiss.

Jen’s not the first former “Friend” to appear on the series. In January, Lisa Kudrow starred as a mean-spirited dermatologist.

Jen’s “Cougar Town” episode will air on September 22 at 9:30 on ABC.
