Jennifer Aniston: ‘I’m Better Every Day, Babe’

Jennifer Aniston made a dazzling return to the spotlight last night, as she attended a party for author (and friend) Laura Day in Hollywood.

Aniston joined fellow party-goers Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and Rumer Willis as they celebrated Day’s latest book, “Welcome to Your Crisis: How to Use the Power of Crisis to Create the Life You Want.”

Jennifer, clad in a gorgeous knee-length black Prada dress, told Access Hollywood what “Welcome to Your Crisis” meant to her.

“It’s not about ‘crisis’ so much, as is it about every single person who goes through something in their life — whatever that may be,” Jennifer said.

It’s no secret that Aniston has faced some personal challenges in recent years. From the tumultuous split with her former husband, Brad Pitt, in 2005, to the media frenzy surrounding her relationship (and subsequent split) with Vince Vaughn last year, Jennifer has weathered some storms. And, naturally, everyone’s favorite “Friend” has been the subject of countless reports, filled with speculation about what many assume would be her “fragile” emotional state.

But in telling Access about Day’s book, it was clear that Jennifer is looking inward for strength — not to outside influences and opinions. “It’s just about understanding your personality, in a way, so that it’s not sort of a group decision on how people approach things,” she said. “It’s very individual.”

In fact, Aniston herself would love nothing more than for people to focus on other things. As she told VOGUE magazine last year, she’s tired of the sensationalized stories about her personal troubles. “Please! Don’t feel sorry for me,” she pleaded. “Don’t make me your victim. I don’t want it. I’m so tired of being part of this sick, twisted Bermuda Triangle. As long as it’s scandalous, it’s a story…There’s nothing to do about it. All I can do is go on and live my life.”

And that’s exactly what she’s doing. Just today, PEOPLE reported that Pitt’s mother was at Aniston’s house over the weekend for a visit. And with the recent news that Jennifer is developing various film projects, along with reports that she’s back in the dating scene (with a gorgeous male model, no less) — perhaps the concern over her “crises” can finally be a thing of the past.

As she told Access last night, “I’m better every day, babe.”
