Jennifer Hudson Arrives In Tampa Ahead Of Super Bowl Performance

Jennifer Hudson arrived in Tampa, Florida, last night to prepare for her performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” at Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIII.

Jennifer arrived at with one of her Pomeranian dogs cuddled in her arm, though it was unclear if it was her pup Oscar or Grammy that accompanied her.

The singing superstar’s performance of the national anthem at Sunday’s game marks the first time Jennifer will take to the stage in public since the tragic murder of her family members – mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and her nephew, Julian King – last year. Jennifer’s estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, has been charged over the killings.

Following her Super Bowl performance, Jennifer will head to Southern California to sing at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 8. Jennifer is up for four statues at the show including Best R&B album, for her self-titled 2008 release, and Best R&B Vocal Performance for the song “Spotlight.”

Jennifer filmed the video for her most recent single, “If This Isn’t Love,” in Los Angeles earlier this week.

The video will debut the week of February 9.
