Jennifer Lawrence Talks Hosting Saturday Night Live: ‘I Retired My Bow & Arrow For This Weekend’

“Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence will host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, but don’t expect any arrow slinging from the woman who plays Katniss Everdeen.

“No, I retired my bow and arrow for this weekend,” she laughed during an interview about her upcoming “SNL” gig, conducted on the set on Thursday.

Jennifer’s “Silver Linings Playbook” co-star Bradley Cooper previously hosted “SNL,” but she said she didn’t get any advice from him or any other members in the film’s cast.

“No, they didn’t. They should’ve. They’ve just said it’s going to be the most amazing experience of my life, which they were right about,” she said.

The actress, who is currently nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her “Silver Linings” role, said she has been having a blast preparing for Saturday night’s show.

“Oh my God, it’s been amazing,” she raved. “I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this much in my entire life.

“It’s just been incredible,” she continued. “It’s just amazing working with people — their job is just to be funny all day every day. You are in a room with some of the funniest people in the entire world.”

As for what fans can expect when Jennifer hosts “SNL” this weekend?

“Me, acting like an idiot. A lot,” she laughed.
