Jennifer Lopez Reveals How She Met Alex Rodriguez

Jennifer Lopez has revealed how she met Alex Rodriguez.

On Monday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres
Show,” Jennifer opened up about meeting A-Rod, during an interview with Ellen.

“Let’s talk about Alex. I’m very excited for you,”
Ellen said.

“He’s a great guy,” Jennifer said, after Ellen showed her audience a photo of the two under an umbrella.

When asked where they met, Jennifer revealed it happened at a restaurant.

“I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him and he passed by and I tapped—” Jennifer began, before Ellen chimed in to ask exactly what the “World of Dance” judge was eating.

“I was having … Cobb salad — and some soup,” Jennifer said (it was tortilla soup, in case you’re wondering).

Not long after her meal, Jennifer spoke to the former baseball star-turned-sports-analyst outside.

“I saw him walk by and then afterwards, I went outside, but for some reason, I just felt like tapping him on the shoulder and saying hi. And I said, ‘Hi, Alex.’ And he was like, ‘Hi, Jennifer.'”

The “Shades of Blue” star said the two chatted, and after realizing they both live in Los Angeles, Alex suggested they hang out. Jennifer said he went on to send her a text message suggesting they grab dinner. (Jennifer revealed Alex had her number from “year’s ago,” when the two spoke over a referral.)

“I don’t remember what we had for dinner, but we had a nice dinner,” Jennifer said when Ellen tried to ask about her food selection again.

On Monday’s “Ellen,” Jennifer was also joined by her twins, Max and Emme, 9.

The two came out onstage, and while Emme sat on mom’s lap, Max — at first — hid behind Jennifer’s chair. Moments later, Max decided he wanted to hide in a table that was set up between the chairs.

“This is the quietest he’s been in 9-years,” Jennifer said.

He even had the audience cracking up when he answered questions from Ellen from inside the box.
