On Monday’s “Conan,” the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” star explained his recent headline-making comments about the Marvel female character, but then appeared to call Scarlett Johansson’s character a slut yet again.

“Yeah, it was a joke. Off-colored. Whatever. I’m unapologetic about a lot of things, but I got into a lot of internet trouble. Because that’s a thing now, you can get in,” he said.

The actor then went on to explain how Black Widow has been romantically linked to four characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Mind you, I was talking about a fictional character and fictional behavior. But, Conan, if you slept with four of the six Avengers, no matter how much fun you had, you’d be a slut,” he continue. “I’d be a slut.”

Last month, Jeremy and co-star Chris Evans were asked by Digital Spy about whether Black Widow would ever get involved with their characters, Hawkeye or Captain America, and their responses (which some interpreted as jokes) drew fire from many fans.

He later apologized for his comments.

“I am sorry that this tasteless joke about a fictional character offended anyone,” Jeremey said in a statement. “It was not meant to be serious in any way. Just poking fun during an exhausting and tedious press tour.”
