There’s
another Duggar family member on the way. Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and her
husband, Ben Seewald, are expecting their second child.
“Jessa
and I have some big news – we’re expecting,” Ben said in a clip posted on
the “Counting On” portion of the TLC website on Tuesday.
Jessa,
who is holding her firstborn, Spurgeon, in
the announcement video, revealed she and Ben suspec they’ll be welcoming
another boy to their family.

“We both kind of feel at this point that it’s another boy, but we haven’t had an ultrasound to find out yet. So, we’ll see,” she said. “I think probably I won’t be able to wait ’til baby’s born to know the gender, so we’ll probably end up finding out, but we haven’t decided yet if we’re going to share that news with everybody or keep it a secret again.”
Ben said he expects Spurgeon Elliot, who was born in November 2015, will adjust well to having a sibling.

“I think Spurge will be a good big brother,” Ben said. “He’ll learn a lot of valuable lessons having a little sibling. Yeah, we’re excited about that.”
The Seewalds also released a statement about their happy news.
“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new
title in life as ‘big brother’! We are so thankful that God is adding to
our family. 2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know
Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a
wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby
(or babies!),” Jessa and Ben’s statement read.
The Seewalds revealed Jessa is due in February 2017 in a message written on a chalkboard Ben is holding in a photo of the family. “Doubling the love,” the message read, with the date, “Feb. 2017,” at the bottom.

In their video announcement, Ben and Jessa said they’ll be sharing more news about their growing family in their show, “Counting On,” on TLC.
“Counting On” returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, August 23 at 8/7c on TLC.
