Jessica Alba’s ‘Laid-Back’ Approach To Motherhood

New mom Jessica Alba doesn’t want to be a stress case when it comes to raising her newborn, Honor Marie Warren. The actress and husband Cash Warren have only been parents for a little under a month, but are already hoping for a relaxed approach to parenthood.

“Kids’ personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality,” The Love Guru” star told Britain’s Sunday Express for their S Magazine.

“If you’re very paranoid and uptight and won’t let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you’re a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you’ll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I’ll find out,” she said.

Motherhood has prompted the actress, who reportedly suffered her own health issues as a child, to educate herself on the health risks children must endure.

“I’ve been reading a lot about kids and infections, autism and vaccinations,” Jessica told the magazine. “I’ve come to think that perhaps I was a product of my environment or the vaccines or something my mother took when she was pregnant.”

Jessica’s appetite has also change since becoming a new mom. The actress, who once could skimp during meals, said not getting enough to eat unleashes her darker side.

“I used to be a just a coffee for breakfast, yogurt for lunch girl,” she said. “Now I have to have something every couple of hours. I turn into Satan if I don’t eat!”
