After weeks of speculation and numerous photos of a baby bump, Jessica Simpson has confirmed she’s pregnant!
“It’s True! I am going to be a mummy!” the 31-year-old said in a statement posted on her website on Monday.
Along with her statement, Jessica posted a photo of herself in her Halloween costume – a mummy – cradling her baby bump.
A source close to Jessica told Access Hollywood that the singer/fashion mogul and fiance Eric Johnson are thrilled with the baby news.
“The Mommy-to-be is feeling great,” the source told Access. “And daddy Eric is incredibly excited!”
This will be the first child for the couple.
Jessica and the former NFL player, 32, began dating in May 2010.
“It’s the best year of my life,” the star told Access of being Eric’s fiance earlier this year in May.
The couple announced their engagement in November 2010, and has said they hope to wed by Christmas 2011.
