Jett Travolta Autopsy Complete

An autopsy has been completed on John Travolta’s son, Jett, in the Bahamas, Access Hollywood has learned.

The 16-year-old’s body is scheduled to be transported to the airport in the next few hours, presumably to be flown to the United States.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jett will likely be returned to Florida. A Restview Mortuary source told Access on Sunday that Jett’s body would then be brought to the Florida mortuary.

The Associated Press reported on Saturday afternoon that two pathologists would be used during the autopsy to make for a “thorough assessment” of the cause of death.

Michael McDermott, John’s corporate and commercial attorney, told NBC News on Saturday afternoon that the body of Jett will likely be flown to Ocala, Florida, where the family has a home.

As for the results of Jett’s autopsy, according to TMZ, they may never become public.

The Ministry of Health in the Bahamas reportedly told TMZ that Dr. Hubert Minnis, a pathologist at Rand Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Karen Sands, an American pathologist, would send their results to a coroner, who will then forward the entire report to the Travolta/Preston family.

Bahamian Ministry of Health officials told TMZ that only the Travolta/Preston family has the authority to make the autopsy report public.

Jett is believed to have suffered a seizure and hit his head on the bathtub on Sunday at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
