Jimmy Fallon Reveals He Rocked Out ‘80s Style At Drew Barrymore’s Wedding

Jimmy Fallon tried to stay out of the spotlight at Drew Barrymore’s wedding to Will Kopelman over the weekend, but he ended up on stage at the reception following the couple saying, “I do.”

“I never want to bother anyone on their wedding day — it’s not about me that day — so I try to hang out and hide out, but I got called out, and, of course, I’m gonna do it if I get called out,” Jimmy told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a new interview airing Thursday on radio’s “The Billy Bush Show.”

The “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” host, whose wife, Nancy Juvonen is Drew’s producing partner at Flower Films, said he rocked out a couple of classics from the past when dragged into the revelry of the night.

“I did hop onstage with the band later on. I sang ‘Jessie’s Girl’ and ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,’” Jimmy told Billy. “The band was The Spazmatics, and they’re an ‘80s cover band. They were so fun. They’re great. They really are talented musicians, but they dress like nerds from the ‘80s.”

Jimmy’s wife was a bridesmaid at Drew’s big event and he revealed Nancy got a little nervous when she had to make a toast.

“My wife does not like to give speeches at anything. She doesn’t like to be in front of the camera or in front of people. She’s very shy so it was a very quiet, quiet bridesmaid message, and very mushy,” he said. “We were very mushy people, so anytime she said the word ‘love’ or anything, she’d tear up. It was nice. It was really good.”

Jimmy said the whole event was moving.

“Drew had a beautiful wedding. Oh my gosh, she looked gorgeous and it was just perfect,” he said.
