Joe Jonas: Future Johnny Depp & Budding Author?

Is Joe Jonas putting down the microphone and skinny jeans for acting classes and a book tour?

According to a new interview in Seventeen’s June issue, the middle Jo Bro sees more movies in his future — possibly even writing a novel.

“I guess personally I would love to do more acting, maybe movies – that would be really cool,” Joe, 19, told the mag when asked what he sees himself doing five years from now.

As for who he looks up to on the big screen?

“I think Johnny Depp’s work is really great – he always incorporates music into what he does,” the singer said.

But Joe – whose new Disney Channel series, “JONAS,” debuts on Saturday – has career aspirations beyond acting and performing.

”[I want to] write a book one day, because I love to read. ‘The Alchemist’ is my favorite book of all time,” he told the mag.

He also revealed that doesn’t mind being the subject of someone else’s writing.

Joe’s ex, Taylor Swift – who claimed Joe dump her over the phone – wrote about their breakup in her song, “Forever and Always,” which includes the lyrics, “Was I out of line? Did I say something way too honest / That made you run and hide like a scared little boy?”

“It’s flattering,” he said of Taylor’s song. “It’s always nice to hear their side of the story.”

Joe isn’t the only Jo Bro with a very public split. Youngest brother Nick, 16, who was previously linked to Miley Cyrus told the mag that “modesty is the key” for any future girls in his life.

“It’s more about her personality than the way that she dresses,” Nick said of his ideal girl. “It’s about who she is as a person and if she feels comfortable in her own skin. But you think that everyone has their own journey to maturity.”

Last weekend, Miley shot down rumors via Twitter that she had rekindled her relationship with Joe, tweeting, “It makes me sad to think that people out there aren’t friends with THEIR ex bf, because let me tell u it IS possible.”
