Joe Jonas: Taylor Swift’s New Breakup Song Is ‘Not About Me!’

Taylor Swift released her latest single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” on Tuesday, instantly setting off a storm of online buzz speculating about which of Tay’s exes could’ve inspired the song.

Joe Jonas, who dated the country cutie in 2008, ruled himself out of the possible-anthem-inspiration pool on Wednesday.

“I can say it’s not about me, because I don’t think we’ve ever tried [getting back together for] another time, so…” Joe said during a 94.7 Fresh FM interview, when asked if the song is about him. “I can tell you it’s not about me!”

Though the singers initially parted on bad terms (Joe reportedly dumped Taylor during an under-30-second phone call), the JoBro said they’ve made peace and keep in touch “as much as we can.”

“I haven’t really spoken to her recently, but I was able to go to her concert last year, and her show live is so phenomenal,” he added. “I would say anybody should go see it if they have a chance. I think we’re cool.”

Now that Joe has ruled himself out, other possible candidates from Taylor’s list of celebrity loves include Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Taylor Lautner.
