John Green: I Want To Cast Taylor Swift In ‘Looking For Alaska’

Taylor Swift’s love of John Green’s works is no secret, and the “Paper Towns” author says the admiration is mutual.

In fact, John would cast her in a movie (if he could)!

“It’s not my decision who to cast. I do like Taylor Swift a lot, I’m a big Taylor swift fan,” John told Access Hollywood at the “Paper Towns” junket, when asked if he’d like the “Bad Blood” singer to take on one of his characters on the big screen.

While John and Tay have made their mutual fandom for each other known on Tumblr, they haven’t yet met in person.

The author did get to hang out with Cara Delevingne as she FaceTimed with the singer though, and said she lived up to his high expectations during their brief cyber meeting.

“Unfortunately, she is just as awesome in person as you’d expect,” he joked. “She is amazing. So yes, I am a huge fan of hers and I’m very appreciate of the support that she’s shown my books. I’d love to meet her.”

As for possible roles for TayTay, John said he could see the singer taking on multiple “Looking for Alaska” roles.

“She’d be a great Takumi. She’d be great as The Colonel,” he said. “It could be one of those movies where Taylor Swift plays every character, just in a different outfit… like ‘Austin Powers.”’ Starring Taylor Swift, AND Taylor Swift.”

Adding, “Let’s keep our fingers crossed for that.”

“Paper Towns” hits theaters on Friday.
