Johnny Depp Complains About Getting Photographed; Admits He Gets ‘Stupid Money’

Johnny Depp is very aware that his paychecks are ridiculously huge.

The big screen superstar opened up about his whopping paychecks in the November issue of Vanity Fair.

“Basically, if they’re going to pay me the stupid money right now, I’m going to take it. I have to,” the actor told the mag.

The 48-year-old actor said he’s OK with his giant paydays because of his two children.

“I mean, it’s not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it’s for my kids,” he explained. “It’s ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It’s for the kids.”

And when it comes to snapping a picture of Johnny, the actor compared the act to a sexual assault.

“You just feel like you’re being raped somehow. Raped. The whole thing,” he told the mag. “It feels like a kind of weird—just weird, man… Whenever you have a photo shoot or something like that, it’s like – you just feel dumb. It’s just so stupid.”

The actor’s comments have already raised eyebrows with RAINN, the Rape Abuse And Incest National Network.

“While photos may feel at times intrusive, being photographed in no way compares to rape — a violent crime which affects another American every two minutes. RAINN welcomes the opportunity to speak with Mr. Depp and educate him about the real life experiences faced by survivors every day, and ways that he can work with RAINN to help,” Katherine Hull, the spokesperson for RAINN, told Radar.

Johnny will next be seen on the big screen in “The Rum Diary” on October 28.
