Josh & Anna Duggar Expecting Second Child

The Duggar family continues to expand… in the grandchildren department, that is!

Eldest Duggar son Josh and wife Anna have a second child on the way, according to People.

“It was awesome to get the news,” Josh — the oldest of Duggar parents Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids — told the mag.

The couple’s first daughter, Mackynzie, turned a year old on October 8.

“I showed Josh the positive pregnancy test on Mackynzie’s birthday,” Anna explained. “It was fun to announce it to everyone on that already happy day.”

Duggar patriarch Jim Bob is elated to add to their massive brood, telling the mag, “We are so excited about the new expansion to our family… We can’t wait to find out more about this new baby.”

Will Josh and Anna attempt to have a family as big as the one he grew up in?

“We’ll be having 25,” he joked, adding that their leaving the number of kids they have “up to God.”

The couple’s good news comes after a miscarriage over the summer.

“I was very sad,” Anna told the mag. “Josh was a big encouragement to me. It helped us go through the heartbreak to learn that 30 or 40 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. That was comforting in some ways.”

Josh said they also leaned on his parents for support.

“My parents went through a miscarriage right after they had me,” he explained. “Many people walk through this experience and it is very emotional. We were looking forward to having our baby and losing that baby was really rough.”

Duggar fans can see the couple announce their nig news on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting: GrandDuggar First Birthday” on November 14 at 8 PM.
