Josh Duhamel Ejected From Plane For Refusing To Turn Off Blackberry

Josh Duhamel managed to divert media attention away from the TSA’s new screening procedures on Thursday when the actor was ejected from a plane for refusing to turn off his mobile device.

On Thursday, the actor was escorted from a plane in New York City after he ignored repeated requests by an airline staff member to turn off his BlackBerry device.

“The incident obviously happened and he’s sorry,” Josh’s publicist told Access Hollywood on Friday regarding the incident.

According to TMZ, which first reported the story, the actor was on a plane set to travel from LaGuardia in New York, to Kentucky, when he ignored repeated warnings to turn off his cell phone. A fellow passenger told TMZ the actor was “taunting the attendant” who asked him to turn off his phone three different times.

The plane was reportedly at the runway and was forced to head back to the gate, where it taxied at a gate and officers removed the actor, delaying the flight’s departure by 90 minutes.

Josh was in New York City on Thursday, supporting wife Fergie, who was honored as Woman of the Year at Billboard’s Women In Music Luncheon.
