Judge Denies Christie Brinkley’s Request For Restraining Order Against Ex-Husband

Lawyers for Christie Brinkley hit a Suffolk County court yesterday, requesting a temporary restraining order against the supermodel’s ex husband, Peter Cook.

Brinkley’s lawyers made the motion, following news that the architect sat down for an interview with “20/20” host Barbara Walters set to air this Friday. During the interview, Cook spoke about his affair with an 18-year-old assistant and said he hoped that if the supermodel saw his interview with Walters, she would take “time to heal herself.”

While attorneys for Brinkley could not be reached on Thursday, legal counsel for Cook confirmed the hearing to Access Hollywood.

“Attorneys for both Mr. Cook and Ms. Brinkley were present in court yesterday and this issue was resolved,” Cook’s lawyer said in a statement. “Christie Brinkley sought a restraining order to stop Peter Cook from having visitation [with] the kids this weekend as he was originally scheduled to have. She wanted the kids to be [with] her for the weekend as to not expose them to the Barbara Walters interview set to air. The judge denied Christie’s request. Mr. Cook agreed he’ll take the kids away for the weekend and that the will not expose them to the Barbara Walters interview.”
