Julia Roberts Dishes On Her Children, Marriage & Playing The Evil Queen In ‘Mirror Mirror’

Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder have worked hard to create a life for their three children outside of the Hollywood spotlight, but with her latest movie, “Mirror Mirror,” Julia’s kids are beginning to realize just how famous she is.

“You’ve done a great job of raising them when they don’t know that you’re famous,” Billy told the 44-year-old actress at the “Mirror Mirror” junket in Los Angeles on Monday.

“They’re starting to, they’re starting to get it. This is the movie that has prompted the most questions,” she explained. “It’s fine… Danny and I sit and talk to them and sort it out and it’s not a big deal.”

Billy asked which of the couple’s children (twins Hazel and Finn, 7; and Henry, 4) is most like her.

“It depends on what kind of mood they’re in. When they’re sweet and happy and everything’s going their way, they’re all like Danny,” the actress said with a laugh.

And when Billy asked how Julia spends her down time, the Oscar winner joked that her idle time is always feisty.

“I make out with my husband… just kissing. It’s all we do,” Julia deadpanned. “I’m cooking, I’m cleaning, or I’m making out with my husband.”

All jokes aside, the actress stays plenty busy working, especially on her latest project where she plays the Evil Queen opposite Lily Collins as Snow White.

“I think she’s a lunatic,” she said of her wicked role. “She’s just crazy.”

Next up, Julia will star alongside Meryl Streep in the big screen version of the Broadway stage play, “August: Osage County.”

Julia told Billy that seeing her co-star recently take home the Best Actress Oscar (for “The Iron Lady”) brought back a flood of memories about her own win for “Erin Brockovich” in 2001.

“Anybody who says [winning an Oscar] doesn’t matter is a liar,” she explained. “It is amazing. It’s great, it’s an Oscar. Are you kidding? You work hard and you get this sort of accomplishment.

“I can’t believe it happened. It’s like a dream,” she said of her own Academy Award. “I feel like I had a dream where I went bananas onstage in front of a whole lot of people.”

“Mirror Mirror” opens in theaters on March 16.
