Julia Roberts On Her Twins Starting School & Her Sexy Legs At ‘Eat Pray Love’ Premiere

Julia Roberts may play a single woman on a mission of self-discovery in her new film “Eat Pray Love,” but in real life, she’s a wife and a mother to three children, two of which are just weeks away from starting kindergarten.

When asked on Tuesday night at the film’s New York City premiere if she’s finding it hard to let her oldest children – twins Hazel and Phinneaus, 5 – start school, Julia told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson that the upcoming moment is filled with a host of emotions.

“Yes and no,” Julia said. “I think it’s bittersweet, I’m sure, but I think for them, they don’t want to go and Henry, [Julia and husband Danny Moder’s youngest child, 3], does wanna go!”

“I’m in the middle,” Julia added about her views on her kids making the big step.

In related news, The Hollywood Reporter ran a story on Tuesday noting that the September issues of several major fashion magazines – usually one of the magazine world’s biggest ad-generating issues of the year – are featuring women over 40 on their covers. Julia is on the cover of ELLE, while Jennifer Aniston is fronting Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue shot Halle Berry. Julia, however, told Shaun that age is only a number for her.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if it said ‘Cute Girls Dominate September Covers?’” she laughed.

On at least one of the covers of ELLE (Julia posed for several different versions) the actress is pictured with her eldest son, Phinneaus, cradling his adorable mane of red hair to her chest. Julia told Shaun how the tender moment came about.

“He was just trying to talk to me [at the photo shoot] and I said, ‘OK, take your shirt off and come sit next to me.’ So he’s just talking away about something he wanted to do later,” she said.

Julia noted, however, that the twins are unaware of the cover.

“They haven’t seen it, they won’t even know it exists,” she said.

While movie fans are well aware of “Eat Pray Love,” which hits theaters this Friday, her Tuesday night premiere is bound to make headlines for another reason – her dress, which showed off her lovely long legs.

“I don’t usually wear short things. It seems to be getting, um, noticed,” she laughed.

“Well, it’s summer time,” Julia added. “And the living is easy.”

Julia noted though, that her husband was keeping her in his sights.

“My husband’s down there. He’s no fool,” she laughed.
