Julia Stiles Learned Of Golden Globe Nomination While Stranded & Broke In Cuba

Julia Stiles didn’t wake to congratulatory calls and text messages last month on Golden Globes nominations morning – the “Dexter” star was stranded in Havana, Cuba, broke, with almost no one to turn to for help.

The actress ran into trouble when she ran low on money during a humanitarian aid trip and was unable to access her bank accounts.

Julia Stiles To Join Broadway Cast Of ‘Fat Pig’

Julia Stiles will join Dane Cook and Josh Hamilton in a production of Neil LaBute’s “Fat Pig” on Broadway this spring.

The three will team up beginning April 12 at the Belasco Theatre on 44th Street for the darkly comic tale of a bachelor who falls for a plus-size girl. The show officially opens April 26.
