Justin Bieber Detained For Hours At LAX

Justin Bieber had a bit of an unplanned layover when he arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday evening.

Upon arriving back in the U.S. following a trip to Asia, the 20-year-old singer was detained by U.S. Customs for almost four hours, E! reported.

The singer, with four bodyguards by his side, was finally allowed to leave at 6:20 PM.

Two SUVs and one van waited for the singer while he was detained. After his release, Justin was seen hoping into one of the SUVs not saying anything to the paparazzi, but he did flash a smile.

According to People, the singer was stopped and detained “for routine secondary questioning” but was not being kept out of the country.

An Us Weekly source said the singer was use to this procedure.

“Justin has to go through [this] now every time he comes back in the country because he’s a foreign national,” the source told the mag “It’s standard, especially after he has had other legal issues in the U.S. in the past.”
