Justin Bieber Sees Future Beyond Teen Stardom, Hoping To Emulate Timberlake & Usher

Justin Bieber might currently be the hottest thing in teen pop music and he’d like the heat to continue into his adult years – possibly following in the footsteps of two other former teen stars.

“I want to be an artist that just doesn’t come out with just one song,” Justin told Matt Lauer when he stopped by NBC’s “Today” show on Friday morning. “I want to be able to have longevity and have my fans grow with me… not just be a teen artist and move up and be an adult artist.”

When asked what he hopes to be doing five years from now, he explained that he’d like his career to evolve like two other pop superstars – possibly even transition to the big screen.

“Justin [Timberlake] or Usher for example, they both started when they were my age and look at them today,” he continued. “They are constantly doing stuff. Justin Timberlake is in the movies now and doing stuff.”

Following his interview, Justin treated the massive crowd outside of the “Today” show studios to some of his hits including, “Baby,” “Somebody to Love,” “One Time” and “Never Say Never,” his new song from “The Karate Kid Soundtrack.”
